INTRUDUCTION

A division of aerospace engineering, aeronautical engineering focuses on applying physics, mathematics and other disciplines in order to construct aircraft. Aeronautical engineers work to make sure propulsion systems operate efficiently and that an aircraft's aerodynamic performance is sufficient. Aspiring aeronautical engineers should get their bachelor's degrees in aeronautical or aerospace engineering, though some related majors may be sufficient.
Although entry-level aerospace engineers in general do not require a license, higher-level positions may require a PE, or professional engineering license.

Empennage

Empennage     The empennage, commonly called the tail assembly (see figure 1-7), is the rear section of the body of the airplane. Its main purpose is to give stability to the aircraft.  The fixed parts are the horizontal stabilizer and the vertical stabilizer or fin. The front, fixed section is called the  horizontal stabilizer  and is used to p revent the airplane from pitching up or down .   The rear section is called the  elevator  and is usually hinged to the horizontal stabilizer. A Switzerland-based spaceflight company is finalizing plans with Canada over a potential launch site for a new private space plane, which is slated to launch a satellite to clean up space junk by 2018. The company, Swiss Space Systems (S3), plans to launch the new Clean Space One satellite using the European Suborbital Reusable Shuttle, a small space plane the firm is developing for low-cost launches off the back of a modified Airbus A300 jumbo jet. CleanSpace One is a 66-pound (30 kilograms) technology demonstration spacecraft designed to link up with Switzerland's out-of-commission SwissCube nanosatellite — a small cube that measures 3.93 inches (10 centimeters) on each side — and safely de-orbit the target craft.
